I absolutely adore this film, are there any others like it?

I would also like to add that I have seen all of P.T. Anderson's films, and Eternal Sunshine (which isn't exactly similar, but has the obscure love story feel).

So I'm wondering if there are any films that share similarities. E.g.: vibrant bright colors and lights; quirky characters (I've seen all of Wes Anderson's films also :p ); awkwardness; comedic tension.

You get the idea. I'm willing to branch out into any genre, so, any suggestions?

Check out my list. A lot of these have a Punch Drunk vibe. Particularly, "Adam".

I love this film too! I dont know if you are interested in older movies, but The Graduate I thought was a lot like this movie. It also very funny but in a weird way and full of querky characters. Hope you like it!

i noticed something in the bonus features. there's a blonde dude in the same blue suit elbowing the wall in the short film. if u look at his hair u can tell it's blonde and way different than adam sandler's hair.

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet; I would consider I'm a Cyborg, but That's OK by Park Chan-Wook to be quite similar, as difficult as it is to be similar to Punch Drunk Love. The love story is similar in that they're both extremely unconventional and quirky. The whole film has a similar offbeat style as well.

I think Primer took a lot of inspiration from this, not necessarily in terms of story, but the style, dialogue, and music are pretty similar.
