800,000 years of evolution

The weird looking brain dude had a point: Who are you to dispute 800,000 years of evolution? Poor dude even gave Alex the answer he was looking for, and let him go on his way. Then Alex goes on to kill their entire race. "Thank you" would have been a better reaction.

A question about that if I may, SPOILERS AHEAD...

You say he destroyed their race, the "mental Morlock" says they have more colonies like this and that he is just one of many, which implies that the cave and the Eloi village are one of many!
If we see a cave sistem destroyed, judging from his last trip into the future, there were 3-4 entrances and it looks like the destroyed area is a kilometer-or two wide, how did he destroy the race then, were the other colonies really that close, couple hundred meters away?
And if yes, how would such a small population breed into 3 casts, we see no more than 10-20 Morlocks in this cave, even if there were 10 caves it would only still be several hundreds of them?

Fair enough, but even so he took out a decent chunk of them, my original point still stands.

Yeah, why did Alexander kill the Uber-Morlock guy when basically that guy let him go and return to his time machine?

The Uber guy could have just killed him then and there...

Now if I/we assume he wanted to kill the Uber guy to save the girl, why not just go back in time a few days/weeks and save the girl before she gets captured?

Or even better, take the girl (and possibly the boy) back in time to his original time or whenever and live a normal life? heh.

Why did Alex kill all the Morlocks? Precisely because Jeremy Irons told him the reason why he couldn't save Emma...

See, Alex came to the realization that he cannot change his past. Having a time machine does next to nothing and the future sucks. The guy lost the love of his life and he hasn't gotten laid for EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND YEARS!

So he thought, "hmm maybe if I killed the Morlocks and freed Ms. I-don't-wear-no-bra and her village, I'll get to tap that Eloi ass". He therefore blew up his useless machine, destroyed all the Morlocks around the village, and became the hero.

Then he tapped dat ass.

Then he dug up Orlando Jones from Hollywood abyss and started educating the Eloi. In a few years they became super advanced and nuked all the other Morlocks from orbit. Cause that's the only way to be sure.

LMAO, it is the only way to be sure
