It's honestly not that bad but it shifts gears about midway through

I think it had something going for it when it focused on the dude trying to go back through time to save the woman he loved after getting shot during the attempted robbery. The shift into him trying to save civilization was where people tore it apart because it went from one general storyline that was powerful into another that was essentially an action movie. I think if it had stuck with the first half it would've been even better but in all honesty, it wasn't that bad. The soundtrack is great and reminds me of Avatar.

You guys should check out the marathon I did with The Time Machine title When A Man Tiem Travels For Love. You can check it out on my blog.

This is the part that I love about this version of the story. I didn't like the reason for the 1960s version, that he "just did not like the time he was born into"... That part was lame. That is like saying, hey lets all build time machines because we don't like the world we live in. But we can all relate to losing a loved one, and wanting to go back to be with them or save them.

The soundtrack is great

I love the track called "I Don't Belong Here". The part where Alexander realizes that he has to travel into the future to figure out how to save Ema, and then travels to just before the moon is destroyed. Beautiful Piece. There is some other nice music too.

I did not like the brainless blonde humans in the 1960s version. How they are portrayed in this remake is much better. Being Native is the way to go. But, I disliked the Morlocks in this version. The Smart-Morlock did not work for me. I thought the original ones were better. However, I didn't like the Cattle round up in the first film. The humans should be hunted by the Morlocks.

I hated how Alexander got stranded in the future. In the original film, where George goes back and gets some books and then returns to the future was better.

All and All, I wish there was a third version of the story, that mixes the best of the two films.
