Believe it or not I grew up in Brigham City Utah in the early -mid 1980's.

I want to see this movie!!

Isn't it based on a true story?

I thought my mom said something about some grizzly murders in the 1980's

But I remember Brigham City being a very picturesque, quiet community with practically no crimes. Mom could let me take off on my Big wheels at the age of 6 and go two or three blocks, and not worry about me.

anyone know if there were any string (maybe not long string, but still) murders in Brigam CIty utah in the 1980's??

I was born 1980.. moved from Utah (BC) to Arkansas in 1988.. so my memory of Utah is a bit limited..

No, it's not based on a true story. In the commentary, Richard Duthcer said that he drove by this kazebo and started thinking of a story revolving around this kazebo and ultimately ended up with this movie. But there might have been some murders there, I don't know.

It's not a true story. It's not even about the real city in Utah by the same name. It's a fictional city, consequently with the same name as a real city.

No, there have not been a string of murders in Brigham City. I don't believe that there has been many murders in Brigham City at all.
