I need a Devil Rays fan to help me out here... I am pretty sure, but not 100% sure that Brooks was based on Carl Crawford. Time frame fits, player style fits, but im just not sure he was in AAA in 1999. Can someone help me out?

Brooks was Steve cox, but Disney did'nt want to pay Steve any money so they had to use a actor that did'nt look like him (hence the reason for using a black actor)
I just would like to point out that Carl Crawford is freakin' awesome and if he played in a bigger market, the entire country would be as enamored with him as they are with Derek Jeter, Ryan Howard, Albert Pujols, or David Ortiz.
Crawford was on my All-Star ballot, and I still think he got jobbed; and I'm not even a Devil Rays fan.
But I digress...
