Help with identifying baseball picture on Hunters wall

I know I should know the batter in the picture, but I am not sure. Who was the batter in the black and white poster on the wall behind Morris as he leaned over to kiss Hunter sleeping in his bed just before heading off to the minors. I'm thinking it is Joe Dimaggio, but maybe not.

If it was Dimaggio,it would have to be late in his career,since the catcher is Black,and it doesnt look like a blue helmet,so its not Roy Campanella.Could it be Williams?

Williams was a lefty and DiMaggio a righty, which was the player in the picture?

This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.
