This movie is a lot like Star Wars, because it has good values that we shouls shape our lives after. I feel that the main character played by Dennis Quaid was very similar to the Chewbacca character in Star Wars. It was almost like a human reincarnation of Chewy. But that isn't possible because only devil worshipers believe in reincarnation. But I think that both Jesus and Chewy would support the honest values in this story. I think that the writer cshould have made it happen differently but not everyone can write a great story like George Lucas. Great movie. I give it two paws up.

I can see the poster's point, I mean, West Texas, Tatooine, pretty similar geography. And yes, Jesus would like both movies. :)

i think u need some serious therapy and for someone to compare 4 u a wookie and a baseball player and reply back what they have in common u sick twisted kid

This Chewie/Dennis Quaid comparison is pretty close to the most insane/hilarious idea that I have ever heard of. Of course if this guy is serious about his comparison, and not trying to be completely nonsensical, then this post is more scary/insane...... Ah, screw it. It's still ******* hilarious.

Ok, no one is seeing the main similarities between Jimbo and Chewy jesuswookie is referring to. It is so obvious how could you all miss them.

They both have hairy armpits and walk upright. Hopeless!

Yeah, cuz everyone knows there's no drugs in sports!! Most of my HS teame smoked. Now, it was the mid 70s, so that pretty much goes without saying, ya know? lol

your so right! the hero finding himself in the universe; striking out (pardon the pun) to succeed in his dream is alot like Lick Skywanker's bold thrusts with his light saber to free the galaxy from the tyrannical evil umpire. Now that I think of it the death star is alot like a giant baseball and Darth Vader is the captain of the opposing team and is sent spinning deliriously into out field by Lick's home run in his Y-wing fighter pitching his missles in an effort to send the baseball into some other orbit or just bust it all over the park!

I don't think this movie was preachy enough to warrant a sarcastic lampoon as ridiculous as this one. There was no cramming of Hayzoos down the audience's throats. Yeah, it was corny, but when the corniness is based on a true story I can stomach it.
