6.8? C'mon people!

I agree wholeheartedly. I wonder why people exactly gave it a lower score. It has so much going for it. A, extremely compelling lead, an original take on the classic stalker story, very unsettling but at times beautiful music, at moments gorgeous cinematography and very clever play with light, colors and shadows in certain shots. I rarely think about giving movies tens, because perfection does not really exists. This movie excells in so many ways though. Thoroughly unsettling and mesmerizing to watch. Almost David Lynch-like.

Agreed an underrated film. Williams was amazing. 9 of 10. Why isnt it on TV more? Saw it when it came out in 02. Just loved it and wanted to see it again for years. Then 2 days ago found it at a used Cd store just watched it tonight for the first time since 02. I forgot how it ended. For the second time in my life was amazed how good this film was. Best $2 I spent in a long time.

I agree, 6.8 is way too low a score....this film was amazing!

Robin Williams rocked this character, it might just be my favorite role by him.

I also agree with the person who said they 'forgot it was Robin Williams', as I did too!

The film was superbly paced, beautifully filmed, never boring, mostly well~acted (a couple flubs but what film doesn't have them?) and even the soundtrack was excellent.

It was one of Williams' finest performances, he's obviously hilarious but is so convincing in serious roles too.

Yep, 6.8 does not accurately represent the quality of this film, it deserves a minimum of 7.5.
The score seems to have dropped over the years, I remember it being higher a decade ago.

That is surprising. This is one of my favorite flicks.
