I can't do this shaky/wavy cam crap
What is the damn need for this. I couldn't get past the first episode. Hollywood can't hold the camera still anymore? Hate to miss out on one of my favourite shows.

shareAre you kidding? It's literally had the same camera style since 2000 (partially hand-held to make it look documentary-like, as with Arrested Development)

Um, did you even read the original post? They clearly mention "the first episode".
When do you think 'the first episode' happened? How could the first episode happen way after the year 2000, (your implication) WHILE 'having had the same camera style since 2000"?
You are not making ANY sense and you question someone else? Maybe re-read your stuff after you have sobered up or stopped taking drugs or whatever, and re-evaluate what you are actually saying.
It adds to the verisimilitude. Has been going on for a long time. Since Hill Street Blues at least, if not earlier.
shareThat's a good example to use. I remember reading Stephen Bochco's account of when Hill Street began. He wanted all his camera operators to know he wasn't going for perfect lighting and carefully controlled camerawork which was the industry norm. He didn't mind if things looked "messy". That gritty look is one of the reasons that show succeeded so well.
