It's fine. I'm not a hater. I'm enjoying the show still. The setups are great, just like always. But the comedic payoffs aren't paying off. The payoff for a very bit about about golf club regulations is a random robber? OK, that Bently joke was good, but the rest sucked. That Jets shit. Jesus. IDK. And then the pay off for the medical bit with the doctor's son seeing a magical vagina? It's all weak. And the payoff with that urinal shit? OMG. This is crap. The maitre-d vocalizing the "ugly section" in an emergency. Man. The show is more clever that this. They were going somewhere with the Jew being so anal as to be cheated out of money as to shake down a fresh widow even though the best sex imaginable was on the line, but they didn't commit to that bit. That's the whole new season. Usual teeing of the ball, then they cheese it.

I thought CYE jumped the shark in season 9. It hasn't bounced back in season 10. The comedic premises are getting tired, and feel derived and forced. Even worse, Larry is becoming unlikable. I no longer identify with, or find humorous, most of his complaints.

You're right. Larry isn't as likeable as he used to be. He's starting to come across like a maniac.

Larry used to be the 'victim' of unreasonable people, sometimes sneaky (the missing shrimp).

Then he became the 'attacker', and now he's responsible for his own downcomings (I can't believe how much he just needlessly insulted the Romanian Uber driver's country and the women of that country for NO payoff or reason, it's like shooting someone randomly, why would he do that?).

The show can still be funny, but it's very hard to empathize with almost anyone on the show anymore.

I thought this current season was even worse than the last ... until the last two episodes. Loved the last 2.
Look at who directs the episodes. A trend.

Clearly they are milking it. They even seem like cheap imitations of themselves in earlier seasons. There are some good laughs in the current season, but I think that you're right, it's not as good as the earlier season.

Especially the urinal and restroom stuff in Larry's "Spite Store" ... that is just stupid.

And the Jeff Greene character is really starting to gross me out. Look at this lower right lip and he has this tumorous growth on it that is truly repulsive.

But the worst is basing the whole show on the disgusting Leon character for cheap stupid laughs.

It's free with HBO so I watch it, but I would not pay specifically for it.

I definitely noticed this happening a lot. I didn't expect this to happen so much, I thought he had more unique ideas left, but I guess he doesn't. The show has become 'samey' and repetititititive, just like a bad pop song you hear on the radio that seems good the first time you hear it, but goes on for too long and is played too much, until your ears bleed cheese.

Nothing to do with music. If you don't want your ears to "bleed" cheese, don't pick at them when you are eating pizza without a napkin.
