Any real life encounters with LD?

I'm fascinated by this marvellous man and feel insanely envious of people who have had a real life curb encouter with him.

A recent reddit entry recounted a story of a fan who met him in a restuarant as he was just about to eat a sandwich and put his hand out to shake, to which LD responded:

'Nope. Sorry. I've just washed my hands'
