"Steve" or "Ted"???

Is it just me, or was the main guys' name "Steve" at the beginning of the movie, then switched to "Ted" about half way through? Could someone please let me know?? 2 other people I saw the movie with are just as confused as I am. Thanks!
P.S. - Cleveland Rocks! Thanks for the airtime!

The character "Steve" was the copilot of the plane played by Rob Lowe in a small cameo. The character "Ted" was the boyfriend for the rest of the movie played by Mark Ruffalo.
