Last scene

I just watched this film, and I'm really confused by the last scene. Why is she suddenly a pilot?!
I mean, she ended up choosing Ted, which meant not being a flight attendant anymore. Then why the heck was she a pilot in the last scene. It's must be just as bad/good as being an attendant, obviously you still have to fly back and fourth!
If it was just a joke, it's a really bad one. I don't get it.

Please someone explain it to me...

It's an assumed 'flash foward'.

She reassesed her life so she could stay with Royalty Airlines and with Ted, so she became a pilot.

You have to assume that the last scene takes place later in life, not like, the next day or anything.

Hope it helped!

Have you forgotten your angel, that has a mug of beer inside this Took?
