Would Reese Witherspoon been better in this movie?

Maybe they wanted the tall, "model type" for the hero of this movie? I think the film was very well cast and totally well done! Mr Ruffalo and Ms Witherspoon appear in another film together, called 'Just Like Heaven'. It is worth watching also. It premiered a couple of years after this movie. I get the feeling that Ruffalo is shorter that Ms Paltrow but the way the scenes were shot it really is not noticed. I think they had a sweet chemistry together here and it made the movie very sweet. Would be a great date-night movie.

But then she would've been typecasted.

It was on HBO today and yeah, I wondered if it would have been better with a different leading actresses. Get was... kind of flat in the role, no humor or charm.

Witherspoon might have worked, or Anna Faris. Can't think of anyone else offhand.
