What is the name of Mozart's piece playing right before Molly changes the station and made the comment "This sounds like a soundtrack to slit your wrists to."

Not sure of the exact name of the peice, but I recognize it as being from a Requiem Mass he composed. Maybe look up some of the peices on the soundtrack to "Amadeus" with Tom Hulce... thats once of the places I remember hearing it too. Possibly called "Confutatis?"

it's from Requiem in D minor...Lacrimosa dies Ilia. But get the full version. :-) Hope that helps.

I don't think it was the Lacrimosa...wasn't it Dies irae? Either way, I agree it's best to listen to the whole thing...it's amazing.

it was actually "Rex tremendae Majestatis" from the Requiem. I caught this movie on TV this weekend

It was not Lacrimosa, I know that for a fact.
Lacrimosa is a way slower movement.
May have been Dies Irae though.
