I am rewatching this show for the fourth or fifth time now. I originally watched it when it first aired on showtime. I watch it every few years.
This is the ONLY show I have ever watched more than once. I am into the first season now and I cannot believe how well the show aged.
I tried to rewatch OZ a few months ago, which only started a couple years before QAF, and it felt so dated, I only got a few episodes in, even though I loved it when it aired.

I can feel myself smiling through every episode........

It really has! I watched this in college with my besties and loved how it was shot and performed at the time, watched it recently and was just as great as the first time around. The characters are so endearing.

I never saw it.

The original UK version was a great show though. Russell T. Davies is a legend.

He is so great! you should give the American version a try but give it a few episodes before judging, it takes a while for the characters to get established. The UK version was fantastic too, just more to love in the US version since its longer and the camera work is fun.

You are missing out. I watched the UK version this year and it was tragically less fabulous. And was shorter.....you get five seasons here, so much more character development and great storylines.

The first few episodes are nearly identical, but then it branches off and ends up with a life of its own. You should give it a try!
