When she found out that Lindsay cheated on her with that guy (forgot his name) she just decided that they needed to break up, even when they were expecting a baby and she had cheated before.
Do you think she was hypocrite for not being more understanding or the fact they were married and it was a man the one Lindsay cheated on her make things totally different?
If I remember correctly, she felt it was worse because they were married. In my opinion neither one is right. She just wanted to make herself look and feel better by condemning Lindsay .

It's been a while since I watched the show but I always perceived Lindsay as the hypocrite. Melanie couldn't even sleep in bed after she cheated on Lindsay and she admitted it right away. Lindsay just went on as if nothing happened and waited for Melanie to find out. And that, to me, is the main difference between the two cases.

shareI do see Melanie as something of a hypocrite. She cheated herself years ago but has zero tolerance for Lindsay doing the same. Mel uses the fact that it was a man to suggest that this makes what Lindsay did worse. But it seems a handy excuse, a justification to be outraged as though Mel was without guilt.
