I love Black Books and I have since I first saw it. Bernard is essentially a male version of me, so maybe thats why... (pathetic, hahah)
I saw IT crowd when it came out. I had no expectations and I (definitely) didn´t expect something along the lines of Black Books.
I absolutely adore IT crowd! Me and my friends are total nerds quoting the series too often :D Have now bought the series and I can watch it again and again.
But...
I can say the exact same thing about Black Books. Bought the box, watch it again and again and me and my friends have beer nights watching it.
Anywho... I can see the whole "a couple of friends/workmates being against the establishment"-thing being alike in the two series, but to me, the whole atomsphere and type of humour is different.
But...
I don´t really care. I love both series and I love the way Bernard/Roy are such utter misfits that I can identify with :D
Why would it be a problem if the two series have similar premises? I don´t get why you´re so angry about it. Just enjoy the series for what they are and laugh your head off... hahaha....
