I don't know if this is the correct movie, but, did Mary mention something about raping/murdering a baby in one of the tapes?

No,ultimately we find out that Mary,when she was a little girl butchered her whole family. The lead actor,forgot his name, is the one who murders his baby daughter & wife.

One of the crew whose name I can't remember (the one listening to the tapes), tells of a case of supposed repressed memories which included that info. Mary was a different case. You've got the right film, but you put two different bits together.
