SPOILERS

So basically, a guy snapped one day out of nowhere, killed his family and then his coworkers.

The patient's case file at the hospital (which takes up a good deal of the film) had nothing to do with anything, really.

I might be wrong here, but I think cookie is being ironic. The Session 9 tape is the key to the film.
