I think I found a perfect metaphor for how I felt watching this movie.

Everything Jack Torrance feels and goes through throughout the Shining, the way he sits there, sloped down, melancholic, jaw protruding, glazed eyed - that's me! That's me watching Session 9. The most unpleasant movie watching experience I have ever experienced except for artsy Swedish movies. I am Swedish and you really can not speak about bad movies all in all if you come from Sweden. There's bad movies from Hollywood and there are an unprecedented level of low of bad you can reach watching some of our Swedish movies. Commonly these movies will be youth dramas of puberty with no real story, no special occurrences or events. You just want to kill every single thing that's on screen the entire time.

Session 9 was to me like those Swedish movies I hated above all else. Session 9, not belonging to Hollywood bad movie lists, nor Swedish bad movie lists. It's as if it is ostracized.

Keep watching your action filled Bruce Willis movies and leave the intelligent, true horror classics for those of us who appreciate a slow building movie with a huge payoff. It clearly was not meant for you, but that's not a reflection of the quality of the movie. It's a reflection of your taste in movies. It seems like this movie had too much substance for you and you had to work too hard to keep up with it. Don't feel bad. It happens sometimes. You'll get over it in time.
