Ugh - now it's not available anywhere

This movie was on Netflix for years. Now, it's no where. I finally made a trip up to Danvers, MA to take a look at the real hospital where this was filmed. I felt like watching the movie that night and it is NOWHERE. You can't even buy it on Amazon (except for a DVD). It's not even on Comcast to rent or buy.

To see it, we have to buy a DVD? What is this, 2005?

No real point here, just wanted to vent. It's amazing how we get accustomed to movies being available anytime we want them...

Interesting, I thought the hospital was torn down? I'm sure you can find the movie smewhere. I just watched it for the first time last night, myself.

They knocked a lot of the hospital down, but some of the original building is still there. I'm not superstitious or afraid of ghosts at all or anything, but I still wouldn't want to live there! Here's the gallery of the condo complex that exists there now. You can see one of the original buildings in some of the exterior shots:

Damn. Developers will turn anything into a condominium. They have no soul whatsoever. Just dollar bills for hearts. I'm surprised they haven't turned Alcatraz into condominiums yet.

By the way, PM me for a link where you can watch the movie for free.

Yeah, it's pretty sad that they built the area out this much. In the movie, it looks spooky, but at least somewhat tranquil - like a nice rural area to sit and contemplate things. Now it looks like typical suburban hell.

Ugh, that's disappointing. Actually after I posted above, I was reading some trivia and saw that just as you mentioned, they only tore down the main building and some of the side buildings (or maybe it was the other way around). Anyway, I saw it via a particular streaming service available in Canada, but I don't know what options are available in other countries.

Developers know the cost of everything and the value of sweet FA

I'm so annoyed. I had started it but never got into it but I literally just moved into the old sanitarium and the movie is NOWHERE!

Just buy the dvd, there are plenty of films not available on bluray.

Excited to recently learn that Session 9 will be released on Blu-ray in August!
