Coming to terms with family

I might be alone here, but I had mixed feelings about the ending. She still basically lives within distance where her family can bother her Everybody Loves Raymond-style, after all the time of being cooped up with them, breaking out and becoming her own person with her own life and then dealing with them during the whole wedding thing, she just kind of ends up stuck with them again. I feel like it defeats the purpose and kind of adds a "no matter what you do, your family will be there to bug you every day and interfere with your life" feel. Anyone else feel that way?

*slow clap* Thank you for your response. And oh yes, the comparison to "Everybody Loves Raymond" is definitely warranted.

At the reception, though, she realizes, via narration, that despite the fact her family is loud and is in everybody’s business, etc., they will always be there for her. She has a newfound love and appreciation of them that seems to stay with her for the rest of her life.
