Question for readers of Rose Red + Carrie SPOILERS

I am currently reading Carrie and I came across this scene where I instantly thought of Rose Red (the movie because I have never read the book)....but anyway..

The scene in the book Carrie is where Carrie is a toddler and gets in trouble with her mother...Carrie's special powers make rocks come down on to their house and on their house only....this scene reminds me of the scene in rose red when Annie brings the rocks down on their neighbor's house at the beginning...now my question is... was that scene really in the book Rose Red? Or did they steal that scene from the book Carrie?

Both were written by Stephen King, he reused the powers he had for Carrie and gave them to Annie too, also Rose Red is just the TV movie (written by King). There is a book (not written by King, but was written based on the TV movie) but it's a prequel which is set when the house is first being built and the story of Ellen Rimbauer in the house and doesn't involve any of the characters from the TV movie.
