I'm I the first to say.. We need a second movie?

I wonder what happened to the other survivors. What became of Annie?! Dont you agree? :)

I like to imagine Emery started a like Ghost Hunting Business and found a girlfriend, Cathy is just being Cathy still, maybe she finally commits to things now and eventually finds that special man for her, and Steve and Rachel got married and Annie lives with them :)

That will be awesome. Besides Ellen, who's the REAL spirit on rose red. :)

I'd love to see a follow up. I don't know how it would work though. The magic of Stephen King's series seems to have died. It would have to be an independent production. There's no way that the studios nowadays would give that much money to such a chancy project. Hell, the studios probably don't even have the bucks anymore, with all their lame shows. Bummer, but true.

I'd imagine something along the lines of the UK series, Bedlam (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1822448/), would be a good fit.

The series focuses on an upscale apartment block called 'Bedlam Heights', renovated from the structure of an abandoned mental asylum, and the strange hauntings that occur there.

New arrival Jed Harper (Theo James) possesses the ability to see the ghosts, which are generally not visible to others, and receives visions of their deaths.

The hauntings are generally malevolent, and it is up to Jed to determine the spirits' motives and thwart their goals. His flatmates are his cousin, Kate (Charlotte Salt), who manages the complex; Ryan (Will Young) who is troubled by the recent violent death of his brother; and Molly (Ashley Madekwe), a childhood friend of Kate and Jed.

Series was written by another good horror writer, Clive Barker.

( SPOILERS HERE ) -- I do agree a second movie would be an excellent idea . However it would have to be a " stand-alone type sequel " now or perhaps another different installment of the Rose Red Story in general especially because so many years have past from the Rose Red TV Movie . What I mean with this is now that the Rose Red House has been torn down and the condos were suppose to be put in place of it on the same land space of course the whole storyline would most definitely be different . In a way too it would be like a whole new storyline and with new characters but the same ghostly feel to it yet unrelated to the characters in the Rose Red TV Movie . Still I think it could work out but definitely Stephen King would have to write the screenplay for it . All of this IMPO of course . Thanks Iphone5 for your subject post .

I was thinking about what if Rose Red 'infected' the city of Seattle and started to turn the entire town into one big haunted mansion?

Well that seems like a most intriguing storyline idea for a new Rose Red movie installment coelacanth1938 . I know I would definitely watch that one .

There was a site up a few years ago that has since been taken down called Unraveling Rose Red. It was sorta set up as a blog and it was in the POV of the woman the Nick character was engaged to. How she became obsessed with wanting to find out what happened to him and her search all these years later.

The blog was up for years but it's down now. I had her move into the condos that are now over where Rose Red once stood. How she begins to study and investigate if the place is haunted with help of the characters from the first movie.

It was very well done and well written. I know that for a brief period of time when she discontinued the site and had it that Steve (who became a good friend of her) report that she went missing and he was certian it had something to do with the ghosts. I know she returned to the blog a few years later so I can only hope she gets it up and running again.

I could see a sequel sorta using ideas from this site. It was well written and had a very interesting story line.

Yeah, Unraveling Rose Red was a great site, I collaborated with the author for a short while on that. Sadly that was taken down some time ago :(

There was also this one that was linked to it that is still up

This one is based on further paranormal research by Emery and a team of hunters.

Both great sites! If you ever talk to the woman who made the unraveling rose red blog could you please ask her to put the blog back up. It was such a pleasure to read after watching the mini series!
