I loved the use of light and colour when Nicholas was cutting his hair at the stream. They used a blue light against white snow and it made the scene feel really cold and Bettany's pale colouring and blue eyes heightened the chill as well as making it seem ethereal and a bit mournful.

The universe has no centre and no edges. Reality is arbitrary.

Hello psdhart,

I see you around the boards quite often. Regarding the scene in the film: It's been a long time since I watched it so I can't recall whether or not the winter was ending.

To say a little often is to tell more than to say a great deal.
