Is there a more contrived and stupid plot than Panic Room?
I don't have time to list everything that is retarded in this movie right now. Maybe I'll come back later. But... if you've seen this movie, do I really have to get into detail?

shareThere's many movie plots that are a lot more contrived than this, you must not watch a lot of movies if you didn't know that.
shareWants some details?
Here:
Panic room: I usually don't likes to enumerate a bunch of plot holes to bring a movie down. They all have some and no movie's perfect. But sometimes, certain details are just not working with me. This one had too many.
Ex: Forest's character is an engineer specialized in safe rooms, a well educated good-guy that desperately needs money. So he plans on robbing a house where he knows there is a safe room, with all the security cameras that come with it, but he doesn't wear a mask. Plus he wears a shirt with his name on it. Now, you're gonna tell me that he thought the house was empty but still, I don't think a mask is an option for a robber. It's a must. Plus he wears a shirt with his name on it!!
The burglars lock the two girls (and themselves) inside the house (?) hoping for them to come out the safe room so they can take the millions of dollars it contains. Obviously the girls are too scared to come out and are even fighting back. I think the most logic thing to do in that case would be for them dudes to exit the house and wait nearby as long as it take for the girls to believe that they're gone for good. Then, when they run out the house to go get help (phone lines are cut), then they can easily kidnap them and go get the money or just wait for them to leave and get the money. Staying inside, knowing there is no way of penetrating the room, is just a stupid idea.
Jodie foster's phone call to 911:
-911 emergency.
-Yes! This is 38 west 94th...
-Please hold
-No, no, God! (Hangs up)
That's just hilarious.
Another downside for me was the fact that I usually like Jared Leto but Forest, not so much. In this movie, the character Leto played annoyed me ( except when he he was getting injured) and Forest's was the most likeable and well acted. The first scene where Leto convince the good guy (Forest) to stick with the robbery was really bad.
(Q: What does Jared Leto in Panic room, Edward Norton in Stone and James Franco in Spring breakers have in common? They all sport the cornrows and display their weakest acting skills ever. Coincidence?)
Anyways, I think that the character that had the worst time during this movie was actually Forest's. What with being stuck with the worst moron and the biggest douche.
On a positive note, The movie looked very good with some fancy effects and again some solid directing by Fincher. When the tension builds up in a scene you really feel it. So the movie is not all bad. 5.8/10
Yeah the Purge.
