is this true? did the mpaa originally rate it R or did the makers think about aiming for an R or something? cuz ya gotta admit it should probably be rated pg-13,not pg.

sharethere is nothing bad in it. I think it should be rated PG, like it was

yea they took that out on nickalodeon. for a second i tought they would show it
shareI watched that on Nickelodean. It didn't make much sense he saying hello to her and then he just gets punched out. I have watched the non-edited-ish one and I think it is just fine, except they characters made a lot of references to sex.
shareI heard on IFC's "Dinner for Five" that the movie was indeed meant to be an R-rated comedy. The original title wasn't "Kangaroo Jack." But when doing audience testing the kangaroo scene got higher numbers than any of the cast. So they changed the movie to center around the kangaroo. And that's how it became a kids movie.

i know its been over 2 years but, they explain it here
Last Movies Seen:
In Thearters: Rambo 8/10
On DVD: Mr. Woodcock 6/10
This is true. It was originally shot as an R rated comedy in the vein of Midnight Run, but they decided to re-edit it to be PG because test screenings went horribly and then focused it on the Kangaroo as that was those parts were the only well-recieved thing in test screenings.
