What exactly does the girl(Australian bartender) mean, when she replied, "Around near the dunnies" and he goes, "You guys have Denny's? and she again replied, "No! the Dunny!, the bog trough, the long drop, the thunder box....!"


I was wondering whats a Dunny?, Denny's? The Bog trough, The long drop, the thunderbox? Can anybody fill me in please?

A dunny is a small shed with a toilet inside. Used a long time ago when toilets were outdoors.

I am assuming Denny's is an American joke, probably referencing a store of some kind.

Dunny is basically like an outhouse, or a small shed with a hole you crap in to.

ok basically she is telling him all of these things because he asked for the bathroom...in australia they dont call it a bathroom they call it a dunny, thunderbox, and watever else she said....Denny's is a restaurant in America...so when she said dunny, he thought she said Denny's....get it now?
