As a Yank who has spent some time in Oz I knew we were in trouble when:

They planned on driving from Sydney to Coober Pedy like it was right down the street.

They had Fosters on tap in Alice Springs.

The dingos were yellow labs.

Ok the movie was not all that bad the flying sequence was pretty good..

but wasn't it a lot of trouble for 50K??

Your step dad is the chief mafia bloke.

You've stuffed up already by leading the police to your warehouse full of stolen goods.

To make up for it you've been asked to deliver 50k and then you go and loose it.

Just how much effort would you go to get it back?

You are in trouble when the film has a CGI Kangaroo!

You were expecting them to use a real kangaroo Prismark? If you watch the 'Making Of' featurette, kangaroos are practically untrainable. There was no way to avoid using fake kangaroos for the movie.
