great last lines, or not


An example of a bad last line:

When people ask me if Michael Sullivan was a good man, or if there was just no good in him at all, I always give the same answer. I just tell them... he was my father.

When I heard the first ten words, I suspected what the last four would be, and unfortunately it was so.

For comparison, an example of a good last line:
I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

But if anyone could offer a worse last line than this film's I'd be happy to hear it, I collect these things.

I beseech ye in the bowels of Christ, think that ye may be mistaken.
