The choice of music and its relationship to the film's themes/meanings
Re-watching the film and I'm very struck by the music second time around and what Erika's character says of it and of the composer Schubert - his ugliness. I can fnd out more about the composers myself but as I'm not a classic music afficiando - and indeed I'm not very musically inclined - I don't know if I will be able to make connections between it and the film.
What I do feel is that the music is not easy to like, which I think is linked to Erika, but it gets under my skin. This maybe my idiosyncracy or it might be part of the point, I don't know ...
