She broke down in her room begging him to tell her what to wear. It was so sad. Somene hurt her so bad that she felt that need to be controlled. And the way he looked at her in disgust & the desperation on her face. Wow this is an amazing film.

So did I! Even though I HATED her character at times, at the end I really did feel bad for her, especially the scene you just stated.

She was a very sad character. I didn't cry but I felt pity for her in the scene and it was a hard to watch. Her mother seriously messed her up.

I also felt this was a really sad moment for Erika.

It just made me wonder what had happened to her in her past to make her so pathetic and sad.

Wonderful performance from Isabelle Huppert, probably one of my favourite female performances of all time.
