the original cast got 6 films
why did the next gen crew only get 4 ? the poster for Nemesis says it will be the final one so it could not have been box office problems

The Final Frontier was received rather mediocrely, so they gave the original crew one last shot. Same with Insurrection, so Nemesis was going to be the swan song. I can assure you, though, that if it had done extremely well at the box office, they would have made more.

Yeah, I remember the leadup to Nemesis. It was always going to be the last one unless it was a huge success, which sadly it wasn't.
sharePi think had nemesis been more of a success I think there was going to be a fifth and final tng film which was suppose to be a legacy film featuring the crew of voyager and deep space nine. I think nemesis could've have been a nice send off if there would have been more character moments. However I am glad for the post nemesis novels which are worth reading. Worf becomes first officer. Beverly and Picard get married and have a son.
