When did LaForge lose his air filter eyes?


This is the first I've seen Lavar Burtan's character without them. I guess he had some procedure done.

You mean his visor? He got rid of it after Generations and had his occular implants in the space between Generations and First Contact

He didn't lose them. He went with the implants he always wanted to avoid, maybe because the technology improved over the years, maybe because he learned that his visor was used against him and his ship by an enemy, making him vulnerable, maybe because he wanted to keep pace with Data and upgrade, or, maybe just because LeVar Burton hated the visor ad how he felt it interfered with his acting ability.

Button always spoke out against the visor as a hindrance to him, but I like tht there can be theories to back it up, story wise.
