Data was alive well into the future in the TV finale

We see Picard's life about 30 years into the future in the series finale and he goes to visit Data who is alive and well. So how does that work if he died at the end of this movie?

I suppose you could say Q was just showing him one possible timeline. Once things went back to normal, the future would again be undetermined.

So maybe I just answered my question, but I'd like to hear others' opinions on this matter. Thanks.

You did answer your own question, mrakocy. For that matter, the Enterprise D was destroyed in "Generations", so how could she be the re-fitted three nacelle version we saw in "All Good Things....."? The future we saw in the finale was only one possibility.

Superior intelligence doesn't necessarily equate to superior intention.
