Couldn't use the word I was thinking of up there ;)

SPOILER (if you haven't seen in a number of times by now that is...)

anyway, when Picard materializes back on the Enterprise and Data commits suicide on Shinzon's ship, shouldn't Geordi have shown more grief? I mean, they were supposedly good friends. Does this mean that a human can't really, REALLY be truly close to an android/machine? Then again, Picard showed more grief about losing Data than Geordi....

LaForge had his tear ducts removed when he got those eye implants.

Or he realized when Data decided to make that leap, that Data wasn't coming back, and was prepared for that.

That's a good point because in The Next Phase http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708812/ the shoe was on the other foot. Georgi was ASSumed dead so they had a wake, and Data referred to him as his best friend.
