The lack of Vulcans put me off TNG, but this film was epic and well done

I give it high praise in my opinion. I think it really executed the essence of a starship battle scene. Practically half the movie is one battle.. that was just pure awesome.

I think the TNG characters and 1701 plot have it's own setup through the TV series. Many fans, like myself, just needed something more from this film..and it gave it to us.

I just finished up re-watching all the films 1 - 10, then the new 2. I think this film was the 2nd best Movie, of all of them...far behind IV as #1.

Really? Hard for me to think that you like Nemesis better than TWOK.

Terrible movie, but the ship battles were very impressive at the time. Haven't seen it in a while so I can't recall how well it holds up now.

ST2 TWOK stated out as a TV movie. After seeing dailies or whatever, it got upgraded for theatrical release. I loved that it was so much better than TMP, and Ricardo was awesome, even with the plastic chest cast. It would have been better yet if it was done as a theatrical film from the get-go. Nonetheless, it ignited the franchise I think.

This is incorrect. ST:TMP started out as a tv movie turned series turned motion picture. Kahn was always a feature film.

reply

Chiscully is mistaken. That was Ricardo Montalban's real chest in TWOK. He was a bodybuilder.

Yea, I didn't really like Khan from the Movie. The film lacked some things also. The 2nd Khan was better than the first. Even the episode Khan was better than the movie.

This is ridiculous. ST2:TWOK is the best ST movie ever made.
