What I found wrong with Nemesis

Don't get me wrong I liked Nemesis but there were one or two things that could've been done differently. Ok the thing with Picard finding his evil clone was interesting but why does Data have to find his feeble android brother? Why not just bring Lore back? That way he and Picard both could fight a common enemy and Lore and Shinzon could've formed an evil alliance. Now come there's gotta be somebody out there who agrees with me.

Actually, that is a point that I thought about after seeing the movie, and it would have worked a lot better. They could still killed off Data, and it would have been more ironic for Lore to sacrifice himself to become Data at the end than some stupid third brother we don't give a crap about.

yup, mistakes mistakes mistakes. No surprise by 2005 the Star Trek franchise was dead.

While I think that B-4 was a pretty stupid idea, I think by this point nearly everyone was sick of seeing Lore yet again.

The big problem with Nemesis was that Berman didn't want this to be the last one with the new generation crew. Paramount and the cast were ready for this to be the end. So we get a bunch of scenes that that appear veering one way another other scenes the other. A focused "this is the end" movie like Undiscovered Country would have made this a potential top 5 Trek movie. The potential was there, just not the execution because of Berman. A good example was the cut out scene with Picards new first officer. That was a ham handed scene and I can understand why it was cut out. But that is the type of scene along with goodbyes that was needed frankly, because this was the end.

I remember walking out of the theatre thinking it was not the end. The next one maybe but not Nemesis. I also enjoyed it even if done scenes seemed fired like the 'absent friends' and 'I owe you a drink' scenes.

When the Enterprise was preparing for battle I was hoping Q would suddenly appear and ask "Pickard, why are you wasting you time with this nobody?" Pure Hitchcock but we could have had a decent story before tying up any loose ends.

what i was not happy with was that i didn't hate shinzon as a villain, or the remans. Shinzon mind-raped troi in order to make him hateable, but it just didn't work for me. He was being used by the Romulans who then abandoned him to the dilithium mines where he was mistreated. He wanted revenge(obviously) against the Romulans, yet he is attacking Earth. The romulans become the good guys later. Unless there are some underlying details I missed, Shinzon and the Remans were all wrong as villains. This script needed a rehash. Insurrection had a good villain in Admiral Dougherty because he was a villain, but he had good intentions(he was motivated by the goals of the Federation rather than selfish goals). Unless I'm missing some important details in that plot also.
Any thoughts anyone.

I hated everything about this movie. It sucked from top to bottom. It lost it's opening weekend to Maid in Manhattan. It was horrible.
