If the latter, then chances are pretty high that Shinzon is gay if Picard is gay. However, in the reboot Star Trek, Sulu is gay whereas his counterpart in the prime universe, is not. Presumably, both Sulus were born to the same parents yet they are divergent in their sexuality which leads me to believe their sexuality is a result of environmental factors, and not genetics.

Since without genetics there would be nothing for the environment to affect, genetics is the determining factor. share
