Did Guinan Die In Ten Forward?

When they rammed the Enterprise into the other ship no evacuation warning was given. Assuming this Enterprise had Ten Forward it's a safe bet that Guinan either met her demise, or is still floating around in outer space.

reply

Would have been nice to see Dr. Beverly Crusher at all.

reply

Maybe Ted Danson saved her with his face painted black.

reply

Wow. I'm guessing you are American?

reply

Ramming the ship and just telling everybody 2 brace 4 impact, instead of telling them 2 get 2 a safer location; like the aft saucer section or something.

Looks like the Q got her out in the last second and later ended up on the view...

reply

English, much, moron?

reply

Too many commas.

reply

I just assume that they did the order when we saw the exterior shots. I also don't think she was on the E.
Although, I would have been nice to hear the order to evacuate the forward sections.

reply

Since Picard sent orders to Troi via text, its safe to assume the rest of the ship received similar orders to get the *beep* back!

reply

Good idea. Very plausible.

reply

no she didn't survive. Ten Forward bar was crushed in the crash and she was sucked out into openspace..

several days after the events of Nemesis when the enterprise was being repaired in drydock, Picard was taken aside by a Starfleet personnel officer and quietly informed that Guinan had died in the crash with the Scimitar and her body was floating in the green nebula. he responded with 'oh. ok. duly noted' and was walking off when he was asked if he wanted Starfleet to recover the body (him being the closest to a next of kin). he responded with 'er..no its ok. just leave it there. its what she'd have wanted.' he then walked off and proceeded to the bridge to continue overseeing repairs

later that evening in the captains ready room Picard was relaxing with a cup of earl gray after a hard day of overseeing repairs when he received a visit from Counsellor Troi who was just about to embark on the Titan asking him how he was doing and if he needed to talk to which a puzzled Picard responded with 'perfectly alright Counsellor? why was there something you wished to discuss about your transfer?' Troi then brought up Guinan and Picard went 'oh. that. er..yes. um. tragic. tragic. *pause of several seconds uncomfortable silence*.. er anyway what time do you and Will embark for the Titan?'

reply

LoL... There's no Ten Forward on EE, its Three Forward, GuyNun got tired waiting for Picards Smooth Head and went back to earth to start a Talk Show with other tired ass Borg Survivors

reply

no Guinan was totally killed - crushed in the crash then then sucked out into that endlessly vast green nebula (green so no to be confused with the Star Trek II mutara nebula) I loved writing about Picards sheer apathy to finding out Guinan had been killed(didn't even bother to check where she was, and when found out days later couldn't give a *beep* lol )

reply

I hope so. Too bad Whoo-pie is still with us.

reply

well I wouldn't go that far. But Guinan yeah she got it all right

reply

You're assuming there was a ten forward on the E or if Guinan was serving on her. We saw no evidence of either. It's possible after the D was destroyed she decided to retire or move on.

reply

naw man she was totally on board the Ent in the new 10 Forward. and got totally killed. she was in there looking out the window and saw all the $hit going down with shinzon and was holding on for dear life hoping and praying ten forward wouldn't get hit like happened with Kirk on the Ent B then saw the Ent playing chicken with the big ass ship and was like 'aw hell no!' then saw it wasn't veering off and was about to crash into Shinzon and she was like 'AW SHHHHEETTT!!'' and jumped behind the bar just as it hit BOOM! and then as it drove on into shinzons ship ten forward got crushed bad and then the hull breached and she was like 'aw $hit' then everything in ten forward was sucked out into that vast green nebula and she died in open space

#RIPGuinan

Trois tweet after she found out. that totalled 17 likes and 21 RTs (neither from @realpicard)

reply

Geordi set up a Guinan SpaceBook tribute page. After several months dismayed at the lack of 'likes' Geordi hacked into Captain Picards SB account and found that while hed initially 'liked/followed' at the behest of Councellor Troi hed immediately placed the page on 'ignore notifications'

reply

Some time after the events of Nemesis Picard was overheard in the newly refurbished/renamed '11 Forward' complaining how several people had asked him about Guinan and how sorry they were that shed died. 'i wish theyd stop doing that' Picard was heard to say to Commander Madden while sipping his ale, 'I barely knew the woman'

reply

-angered at the Captains apathy to Guinans death, La Forge and Troi anonymously set up a SpaceBook page entitled 'Captain Picard dosnt give a *beep* that Guinan died when he crashed his ship into his clones battlecruiser' the result of which forces Picard to make a grovelling You Niverse video saying how 'utterly distraught' and 'profoundly devastated' he was upon learning of his 'lifelong friend and mentor' Guinans passing and how 'misunderstandings' and 'miscommunications' had led to her body being unrecovered from the green nebula, but that 'reassured' a recovery is now in progress to bring her body back to earth for burial..

reply

just before the video was turned off however Picard was heard to sigh deeply, sip his tea and (after several attempts by Geordi at augmentation through the enterprises computers) utter the word 'arse-holes'

reply

as Guinans body was being recovered from the green nebula for it to be brought back to earth for burial, Picard was contacted by Captain Riker and asked what day/time the funeral ceremony would be so he and Troi could take leave from the Titan and attend.

'ive no idea' Picard responded somewhat nonchalantly.
'sorry. what?' Riker said.
'well um..no doubt preparations are already in place for it to be held in the next week or so.. but as for the exact date.. I don't know.' picard explained.
'you will be attending the funeral wont you Captain ?' Riker asked almost incredulously.
'well..um *ahem* as your no doubt aware i have been er..overseeing repairs to the enterprise which have been quite exhausting. so..I've booked 3 weeks of overdue shore leave and will be leaving for Risa tomorrow.' Picard said as there was a shocked sharp intake of breath heard from someone else in rikers quarters.
'well I.. I hope you enjoy yourself on risa!' Riker said in near disbelief, shock, & anger.
'I intend to number one!.. I intend to.' Picard replied firmly.

Then the call was terminated (the instant before there was an audible 'told you' from Troi in the background)

a year later Picard decided to retire from Starfleet and rebuild his brothers vineyard in France. Posting regular trite photographs to SSM (Space Social Media) about the various levels of overseeing the construction and trying desperately to apply for a position of 'Geological Supervisor' on the civilian Atlantis Project to create a giant 'Lex Luther' styled island in the Atlantic Ocean. When approached by the approval committee on the new name for the Island and suggestions of the name 'New Guinan' Picard refused this on account that it would be generally confused with the Island of New Guinea. By this time Picard had friended and unfriended Troi on Spacebook a total of 9 times over the years, 2 of which times were mysteriously instigated by a rouge hacker who somehow had access to his account (Geordie?). Late one night, when the decorators are near done with the interior of the house, Picard is haunted by the 'Echo' of Guinan from the Nexus who askes "A bald man was once nice to me, why are you behaving like I don't exist Picard?" Picard dismisses the appearance of Guinan as something he ate or the cheese he was given in a huge gift basket......

reply

beautifully told.

"Guinan! Guinan no! I'm sorry I left you in the nebula. No..oh no.. no don't. No please don't!...AH!!-"

Picard jolted awake in his bed in a cold sweat breathing heavily..

'good lord.' He whispered..

He got up and walked to the bathroom where he looked at his ashen face in the mirror..'what a horrific dream that was' he said to himself relieved. Then he washed his face and looked up into the mirror..it was only then he noticed the big purple hat behind him

"it was no dream. Jean Luc.' said Guinan

Picard screams..

He then jolts awake in his bed once again to the ringing of the personal computer hailing him..

reply

Honestly, I thought she died in the Enterprise-D crash landing.
We never heard or saw of her again, after that. Not even a guest spot on DS9...
And then she appears in THIS movie, in basically a cameo.
After surviving the crash of Ent-D, I assume she decided to leave "starship life" and settle down on a planet somewhere. Maybe even Earth.
I doubt she ever stepped foot on the Enterprise-E.

reply

dude she was on board. she got sucked out into deep space during the crash with shinzon and died after several minutes 

UPDATE- unfortunately Guinans nexus echo continues to haunt Picards dreams..urging him to retrieve Guinans body from the green nebula (the recovery mission fell throught at the last moment due to not reaching it credit target on SpaceFund) ..so each night Picard must do battle wth Guinans spirit driving him insane..and ultimatly leading him back to the nexus to seek the help of the only man who can help.. James T Kirk (echo).. together they must defeat the echo of Guinan to free Picard of his torment.. (the Guinan tormet will haunt Picard throughout the new Netflix series leading to the nexes mission which will be the final 2 eps culminating in a cliffhanger where 78y old Patrick Stewart and 88y old Shanter recreate their chopping wood scene :)

Not to be "That guy" but do we even know if the Enterprise E has a ten forward?

reply

From Memory Alpha:

”The novel Resistance established that before he left the Enterprise for the Titan, Commander Riker christened this Enterprise's version of the crew lounge, or Ten Forward, as the "Happy Bottom Riding Club," a name Worf absolutely hated and refused to use under any circumstances. The name for the lounge was derived from a similar watering hole that old Earth astronauts used to frequent.”

reply

Are the books all considered canon? Because I read those Shatner ones and they got very wacky.

reply

They're not, which is a shame because I liked the books written after Nemesis. The new Picard series will almost certainly contradict them.

As for the Shatner books, they've always existed in their own continuity.

reply

They'd almost have to

reply

It appears she should have
