I believe this is much stronger than the other films. It is a great simple story and the characters are at their strongest here. And it is ten times funnier as well!

It's my favorite as well. The most laid back, yet at the same time, the most fun.

shareI think it was perfect for it's time period. Everything fits where it needs to and the guys are at a great point in life with a year of college but still so much to learn.
In addition it has a lot of stuff that just worked well in 2001: the feel good music of Sum 41, Blink 182, and 3 Doors Down, gross out comedy pushing the envelope with scenes that wouldn't necessarily shock audiences today, the campy summertime feel that the first one didn't have.
It's also worth pointing out that this came out before 9/11 (a month beforehand in fact). A lot of comedies, even teen sex comedies, relied on prejudice and racism jokes in the years following. This has non of that and maintains a lovable innocence as a result.
Great response! Coming of age gross out humor wrapped up with a happy ending. Meet the parents from the same era was great as well.
