Ben Affleck needs to stop making movies
Enough said.
shareI totally agree. In fact, you can compare his life to that of Scott Peterson.
1)He looks almost like a twin of Scott Peterson.
2)He lives a flamboyant lifestyle, like Scott Peterson.
3)He despises married life, like Scott Peterson.
4)He has had abusive relationships, like Scott Peterson.
5)He went down in a pile of flames, like Scott Peterson.
I am sure we have not heard the last of either of these people. Made for television movies will be made about Peterson. There may even be one made on the failed movie life of Affleck. In the end, they both went down for the exact same reasons. They both looked to life in the fast lane and fame to bring success. It is exactly that lifestyle that burned them in the end.
yes yes but at least Ben hasnt mutiliated anybody [yet]

I hope Affleck keeps making films horrible, or horrible films, until one day no one remembers his name. Ahhh... what a wonderful world that would be
share................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................psyche
shareamen to that sir. amen.
shareYeah I agree. This movie moved to fast, made no sense and was just not funny at all. And the fact that Ben Affleck was in it made it even more horrific.
WOW....I love when casual movie fans get on here and spout out a bunch of nonsense and pass themselves off as knowledgeable movie-goers. I will be the first to admit that Fleck has done some horrid movies. But have you seen Chasing Amy? Have you seen Good Will Hunting? He was great in his small role in Boiler Room. He was good in Dogma and Jersey Girl. He was entertaining in Dazed and Confused. He was also pretty good in Glory Daze. I personally HATE his attitude sometimes, and as I said earlier, he has made some down right bad movies....but I just get tired of people writing him off constantly. He has had good roles and performed well in them. There wasn't this huge backlash against him until he dated Jennifer Lopez. I could care less who he dates so I never really got invovled with all that junk. I care about what roles he picks and how he performes in them. And as far as I'm concerned he has had as good a track record as many actors out there. Every actor has picked terrible movies, and poorly in them.I'm reminded of a Tom Hanks quote..."I've done 35 movies....and 6 of them are good". But because Affleck is so in the publics eye, you people dismiss him automatically.
sharei totally agree. he and matt damon were hilarious in their five minutes of screen time in Jay and Silent bob strike back. so what if he's made some bad movies. its not like anyone whos posting now could do a better job.
shareNo actually everyone of those movies were terrible also ,sorry but nice try. And actually I dismissed you automatically since you seem to a pompus elitist. Even worse a wanna-be pompus elitist. And don't assume you know what makes someone a "casul" movie-goer and ..what I guess a hard core one LOL, what like you? What a merit badge that is ( sarcasim, felt the need to tell you since you probably are to uptight and pretentious to get sarcasim.) And yeah I was aware of the quote from Tom Hanks before your ever posted it, so what? Because you posted some quote that means something? And it has nothing to do with Affleck being in the public eye , I like many famous people who are in the public's eye. It has more to do with he just plain sucks...sort of like your poor attempt at sounding as if you are so much more "wise in allll the ways of the "hard core movie-goer" world."
Anyway, I don't have time to debate with fools who's only claim in life is that...they seen every movie Ben Affleck ever made and are anything but a "casual movie-goer." So I will ignore you now; have a nice life with your deep, vast and profound movie knowledge while the rest of us with a real education and knowledge about the world contribute something.
fair enough, if you have an education you must know more!!
what makes you think your better than everyone
and good will hunting / amy / dazed and dogma are great films !!
but i suppose they would have been better if they had guns n stuff in them yeah
lets get pissed on stella
k
Yeah, that is it as long as it has guns it is great , that was they entire point of my post. The more the guns the merrier. Than we can all sing "cows with guns" and drive around in our Ford F-250's with our "BEEF, it's whats for dinner." bumper stickers and put the confiderate flag in the grill of the truck, hoot and holler out the windows all the while we guzzle down a Bud. How is that? Sound good? Because you know that is what you gatherd from my post so because you said so it must be true. And I am not the one who thinks I am better than anyone, I was correcting a half wit who thought he was because he was a "hard-core" (or whatever he claimed to be) movie-goer. As if that is some badge of achievement.
All I said was I dislike Ben Affleck and his films and this film moved too slow... ( and well read the original post) and next thing I know all the little Ben Affleck puppie love groupies get their panties in a twist. And no those other movies sucked also. Usually I attach .."but that is just my opinion like what you like" to most things, but since you feel the need to tell me they were great movies, as if I am not allowed an opinion because Affleck was in them, I feel the need to tell you they SUCKED. Period. No argument I am right you are wrong case closed go to Hell thanks! Just because Alanis Morrisette was god in Dogma does make it good. As if a woman could be god..pfft..silly idea..(almost as stupid as the idea of a woman president now that is a good laugh.)
And before you call me a male pig and phone N.O.W and the A.C.L.U..I am female and a former goddess worshiping , tree hugging, light and love Pagan ( gag me). So don't think for a second you are going to out manuvere me on that one.
Oh and Alanis Morisette sucks too by the way. So now I guess all the "hard-core" Alanis fans will post nasty grams about how great she is because she sings a bunch wanna-be beatnick indy garbage. I guess if something is "oh so alternative." it has to great huh? Also, I'm amused at this obviously not thought out statement.
"fair enough, if you have an education you must know more!!"
So , being a fan of Afflecks movies means you are educated? Or if you are not a fan you are uneducated? That is all is takes? Hmmmmm...well so much for my medical degree. Guess I better get those student loans paid back now that I know I can drop out and just watch Affleck films the rest of my life and be right up there with all you incredibly well diverse and insightful people.
Anyway this has been fun. Ok, bottom feeder you are on ignore now have a nice life with the other equally as clueless mush for brains twit. Bye and enjoy your Affleck crap films while I spend my money on better things, like guns, trucks and beer.
Tom Hanks, "I've done 35 movies...and 6 of them are good."
But he himself acts superbly in all 35 of them. It's only the movies that are no good. You can't compare Ben Affleck with Tom Hanks.
All I meant by casual movie goer was people who think movies are just forms of entertainment, and they sit down in the theater with their giant sized popcorn and want to be dumbed down for 2 hours. Some guy who couldn't tell you who the director was....or even the plot for that matter. But they could tell you about the cool one liner the hero says, or how he blew up that building and it was soooo cool when it fell over. And for the record, I am a film student, so yes I see alot of movies, and when I watch a movie, I look at more then all the 'sploding stuff. I do not think I know more then everyone, there are thousands of people who know more about film then I do. I just know for a fact that ALOT of people that hate Affleck so much, hate him because the media focused on him and Jennifer so much and if you go back and look at history, there are hundreds of people who were talented people and because they became super popular for whatever reasons, there was a giant backlash against them. I was just trying to say that Ben has some acting chops and has done some good work. I am sorry if I came off like I know everything, thats not how it was meant. You seem to be the one getting on these boards fairly often and pushing your views down everyone elses throat.
shareactually, Ben Affleck has made some good movies- Good Will Hunting, Daredevil, Changing Lanes, and Chasing Amy, and i liked Sum of All Fears.
Ben just has to read his scripts better.

I'm not a big fan of taking part in Flame wars, but well...I get disgusted when people choose to hate a movie based off the "unrealisticness" of it. If you want reality, stare out your front room window. I'm sure you'll be far more excited.
But even at that, let's point out that Earth moves at over 1000 miles per hour, so it's not really as far-fetched as you might seem to think to land on something going 3000. But then I guess you wouldn't know something like that after spending your life staring out your front room window.
Yeah but I mean , come on, it is fun spying on the neigbors...

Hey guys, don't forget about Gigli. Almost a million people went to see that movie so it can't be that bad. Oh wait, no, that means it sucks. Like I said before, Ben Affleck needs to stop making movies so that movie producers can start making money on their films rather than losing. Gee whiz kids. He's not that great.
shareAFfleck in abusive relationships?
pfft.
