I liked it...

...does this mean I'm a bad person?

Seriously, it was a very nice movie, kind of a touching, endearing little film (I especially love Christina Applegate in it). Why is everyone getting such strong reactions towards it?

I have no feelings either way regarding Ben Affleck, but it's clear to me that this picture did not get a fair shake because there is a very vigorous anti-Affleck bias out there.

At any rate, I was prepared to see a trainwreck a la "Gigli" or "Pearl Harbor" and instead I found a really pleasant and satisfying experience. So I'm going to give this one a high grade.

Am I the only one?

I saw this movie by accident (went into the wrong theater but found myself laughing almost right off the back so i stayed).

i was pleasantly surprised.

I really didn't like it!!! I thought it was really quite awful, although I must say the performances by Catherine O'Hara, and Christina Applegate were quite well done!!!

And then I snapped!!!

What? You didn't like Pearl Harbor? Am I the only one who did?

Hey, I was more than pleasantly surprised at Surviving Christmas. Cute story with a perfect supporting cast, and allowing James Gandolfini to anchor the entire film by playing Tony Soprano with a beard put this movie over the top. Yeah, it may be a goofy holiday movie but it kept me laughing out loud and one can't ask for more than that out of a comedy.
