If Ben Affleck wasn't in this film...

do you think it would get a 6 instead of 4.4 rating? I thought it was funny but I guess it's popular to hate Affleck these days.

I have posted a few Affleck bashing posts on this page, but honestly I have to come to his defense in this post. I saw Surviving Christmas last week-end and I have to say that I think the real problem with this movie is not Affleck or any of the other cast. It seemed to me that the script and the story itself is where the problem lies, as if they weren't sure what story they were trying to tell. It was all over the place.

I don't know whether or not it's popular to hate Ben Affleck...all I know is that man has made a lot of BAD movies.

i thought he was funny. Josh Zuckerman was good too

Yeah, I have to agree with JayeD there. I didn't think he was funny persay, but I did find he did his part well, or at least, as well as anyone could with such a character. No, I think Ben was fine in his part and the flim would be no better with or without him. It was just the script, the way it was done, that kind of thing. So nope, Affleck was fine in my opinion.
