Obviously, she was ordering hair products. Many stylists rent their booths and are responsible for providing their own hair products (hair spray, gel, hair color, etc) and equipment (hair brushes, hair dryer, flat iron, etc). So yes, I would expect a busy stylist to be ordering products fairly frequently.

Perhaps she wasn't solely a manicurist. Some people who do maicures/pedicures also do hair, makeup, etc. It all depends on the salon. I have seen some who do the whole shebang and some who only work in one area of the salon.

Sure she COULD be doing both because in real life lots of people do, but there's no reason to reach that far and think she does in the case of this movie.

Yeah, I did too. I figured she was just ordering any little thing so that she could have a chance to see him, even though she couldn't gather the courage to actually talk to him. share
She could have done hair and nails. Just because we only see her doing Elle's nails, doesn't mean she has to only be a manicurist.
