The original play

I seen the orginal play of this movie years ago. It had a much sadder ending...Holiday was on the street trying to convince Wanda to come home and she ended up stabbing him and he died. Since there was no one to take care of Niki she ended up becoming a prostitute. Very different from the movie version.

That's awful. I'm glad I didn't see the play.

~ OMG!...That is such a tragic ending. I am super glad that it didn't end like that in the movie.

Didn't know that there was an original play. Wish I could have seen it. Love this movie. I wonder why they changed the ending. That would have been an interesting ending but I guess in Hollywood movies have a happy ending most of the time.

And just so I got this right. You were saying that Niki became a prostitute.

When the car was headed for both Wanda and Holiday and the bike was in slow-mo, I was pretty sure Nikki was headed for foster care.

I'm glad you shared about the ending of the play, but I'm not sorry the movie ended on an upbeat.
