Selma Blair
What happens to Selma Blair with the black man during sex??

Anyone know why her and the man's body are blurred during the long view of their sex act?.. I'd imagine they did it to avoid an X rating, but maybe there is some other expanation?

In the Rated R verison of that scene on DVD, there is a huge red box (blurring would have made more sense) that covers the fact that people are there! It's so obscence, it's laughable, so the point is well made!
shareDid they really have sex? It's very realistic...
sharewhat do you mean "blurred"?
maybe i have the uncut version and never knew there were 2 versions.
my copy isnt very explicit. you see Selmas breasts, and is naked facing away from the camera, then you see the teachers ass and they have sex but you dont see any "penetration" or even any genitals.
?
wait a minute, doesnt the dvd have both the R and Unrated versions? I think it does.
yes i wanted to post that question as well. is there an unrated version? i just finished watching it on ifc and the sex was covered by a huge red box.
shareThe unrated/rated versions should be on the same DVD....

They are, on the one I rented at least, which was from Netflix. I am guessing that the version at Blockbuster is R only.
shareI just rented it at Blockbuster (I was shocked that they, of all rental places, would stock it) but the DVD is the one with (to my surprise since I didn't really look at the box much) both an R rated and an unrated verison (and both can be seen in widescreen or full screen....that really makes up for no extras, if you ask me). Anyway, I watched the full unrated verison, and it's shot from far away and you see explicit moition and his rare but I don't think it's "real" I don't even think it should have prevented an R rating. That's probably the only difference in the verisons (unless they totally cut out Scobby and his friend, where you see nothing anyways).

The black man is a prominent character as the professor in the film, and his name is Mr. Scott.
