The Soundtrack

I've had the soundtrack by Belle and Sebastian for a few years now, but I only saw the movie today. I'm kind of bummed that most of the songs aren't even in it, because they're all great, but in a way, it's ok. It's like the cd's an extension of the movie, with the characters singng their stories.
I'm wondering about this one song, though, "Wandering alone". Where does that one fit into the story? Is it about Consuelo's grandson?
Sorry if I sound stupid... :P

I think its their best disc for sure. I like how all the little piano parts repeat in different keys at different times. I agree. I think the movie could have used the score to provide even more to the characters

The album is possibly the greatest failure of Belle and Sebastian. Not because it's bad, I mean it's a great album, or because it was the collaboration album and not written by Murdoch, but simply cause it was written for a specific purpose and it couldn't fulfill it.
I really love Belle and Sebastian, growing up in Glasgow means I got to see them a lot when I was growing up. And while I love their music this album always sticks out as different, not better or worse, but different.

Why's my ass the perfect height for kicking?
