Hot Air Balloon Entrance

As the Count arrives in his Hot Air Balloon with the spectacular linesmen and theatrical entrance...it just dawned on me that NO ONE at the party saw it, at best they saw the balloon approaching but that is it. He lands and enters at a very high point that is also far back from where the party guests can see. It's most noticeable when he gets to the gate edge and welcomes them, they are looking directly up at him.

MAYBE people far far back would see the entrance, but they would be too far away to hear him.

Of course they saw the balloon approaching and the fireworks of course, but for such an amazing entrance...no one really saw it.

I agree. I thought the same thing. Such a great entrance.

The OP is right. The majority of the crowd, at least the way the scene was staged, would not have seen the balloon land, nor Edmond exit the cabin. They probably wouldn't have seen the Cirque du Soleil performers either (that's what I call em, lol).

Still a great scene though. Loved the slo-mo and cape blowing behind Edmond!
